Hari Verma (Verma), the managing director of the firm, offered the project of computerizing the firm's operations to a Bangalore- based software company, Venus Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Alwal Project India Ltd. was started by Sudhakar Alwal in 1980. The company successfully implemented several turnkey projects.

Recently, the company was given a project of constructing a fertilizer-manufacturing unit on turnkey basis by Omega Fertilizers Ltd., near Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh. Jaya Sankar was appointed as the project manager by Alwal to execute this project.

Venkat Vishnu, the senior manager at Omega Fertilizers Ltd., and Sankar prepared the project schedule together. Both identify the activities:
